Marquette, MI – January 18, 2019 – This week Marquette County Transit Authority started their newest free ride share program with Northern Michigan University. In September of 2018, Marq-Tran began offering NMU students and staff free rides to Meijer and Walmart to pick up groceries for the weekends. Now, Marq-Tran is taking kids out for some winter fun on the ski hill!
Each Friday students cangrab their snowboard or skis and get on a Marq-Tran bus out to Marquette Mountain. Starting at 2:30pm, rides run from Lot #10 at NMU to Marquette Mountain and back until 9pm.
